Case 102:   Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)

Diagnostic Category:

Clinical Presentation:

67 year old man with cirrhosis and screening for HCC.

CT: Sclerosing type HCC

Imaging Findings:

Multiphase CT shows a hypervascular HCC in the left lobe that washes out in the portal venous phase. On the equilibrium phase, the mass has peripheral washout but central hyperenhancement, consistent with central sclerosis. Surgical pathology confirmed moderately differentiated HCC.
