Case 103:   Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)

Clinical Presentation:

66 year old man presents with abdominal pain and nausea.

CT: Typical HCC with incomplete pseudoacapsule

Imaging Findings:

Multiphase CT reveals cirrhosis and a hypervascular HCC with washout in the portal venous and equilibrium phases. A pseudocapsule is located posteriorly, best seen in the equilibrium phase, but not well seen anteriorly. Biopsy confirmed moderately differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma.  Images of this case after TACE can be seen here.
