Case 110: Hereditary Hemochromatosis (HH)

Clinical Presentation:

45 year old man with cirrhosis.

CT: In cirrhosis, with atrophic right lobe

Imaging Findings:

45 year old man with biopsy proven hemochromatosis and cirrhosis. Attenuation coefficient of the unenhanced liver is 90HU (45-75 HU is normal). Note that blood pool appears hypodense even on the equilibrium phase. Note also atrophic portions of right lobe.
