Case 118:   Lymphoma

Clinical Presentation:

74 year old man presents with weight loss.

CT: Hepatic lymphoma involvement with portal venous tumor thrombi.

Imaging Findings:

Multiphase CT reveals multiple hypovascular sites of lymphoma (arrowheads), randomly scattered throughout the liver parenchyma.  Invasion of the intrahepatic portal venous branches bilaterally, confirmed by autopsy, is unusual in lymphoma (short arrows). Note the associated perinephric implants and lymphadenopathy (longer arrows).  Patient passed away shortly after diagnosis of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
