Case 18:   Metastasis - Carcinoma of Unknown Primary (CUP)

Clinical Presentation:

59 year old man six years after liver transplantation.

CT: Adenocarcinoma metastases of unknown primary in liver transplant.

Imaging Findings:

CT shows ill defined, hypoattenuating intrahepatic masses with portahepatic and retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy. Post transplant lymphoproliferative disease was suspected, however percutaneous liver biopsy revealed metastatic adenocarcinoma of unknown primary. IVC stent is in place.
