Case 222:   Metastasis - Neuroendocrine Tumor

Clinical Presentation:

52 year old woman with resected tumor of the caecum presenting for re-staging.

CT: Hypovascular, carcinoid

Imaging Findings:

CT demonstrates multiple non-enhancing lesions in the liver representing biopsy proven metastases from cecal carcinoid tumor. Carcinoid metastases however are usually hypervascular. See MR for prolonged fibrotic enhancement of these metastases.
