Case 255:   Cholangiocarcinoma

Diagnostic Category:

Clinical Presentation:

57 year old man with abdominal pain.

CT: Nodular type, with hypervascularity and fibrotic enhancement, in steatosis

Imaging Findings:

Multiphase CT shows steatotic liver parenchyma with biopsy proven moderately differentiated cholangiocarcinoma in segment 2/4a. Typical arterial hypervascularity and subtle central fibrotic progressive enhancement of the mass.

Presence of tumor was indirectly suggested by subtle finding on CT 1.5 years earlier.
