Case 259: Angiomyolipoma

Clinical Presentation:

36 year old woman with incidentally found liver lesions on ultrasound done to evaluate left upper quadrant pain. One of these lesions in the left lobe is shown on the images below.

MR: Small, in left lobe

Imaging Findings:

MR shows small typical oval angiomyolipoma in segment 2: lipomatous components of the mass are visualized on all sequences, which show the mass as a hypointense lesion, except for the in-phase sequence, where the mass is hyperintense.
