Case 267:   Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)

Diagnostic Category:

Clinical Presentation:

67 year old man with HBV.

CT: Fat containing, hypovascular, well-differentiated

CT with IV contrast shows a subcapsular well defined fat containing HCC in segment 6/7 posterior to the right portal vein. A central more hyperdense component is less fatty. Biopsy showed well-differentiated HCC.

Another fatty HCC is present anteriorly in segment 3. The patient had multiple fatty masses, all likely fatty HCCs (not shown here).

Multiple scattered simple cysts in addition within the cirrhotic liver.
