Case 334: Intrabiliary Mucin Producing Neoplasia (IMPN)

Clinical Presentation:

44 year old man with elevated alkaline phosphatase.

CT: Massive bile duct dilatation

Imaging Findings:

CT of the abdomen shows markedly dilated right sided intrahepatic ducts, related to mucin production.  Biopsy revealed intrabiliary mucin producin neoplasm.

Massive bile duct dilatation is due to mucin production of the tumors, which are better seen on MR than CT.
