Case 36:   Metastasis - Colorectal Cancer

Clinical Presentation:

38 year old man with biopsy proven poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of the sigmoid colon.

CT: Large metastases, with calcifications, before treatment

Imaging Findings:

Unenhanced CT shows intratumoral calcifications within multiple metastases. Following intravenous contrast administration, the metastases demonstrate peripheral vascularity, and central necrosis. Primary carcinoma in sigmoid colon also contains punctate calcification.
