Case 52:   Echinococcosis, cystic (hydatid)

Clinical Presentation:

12 year old boy with fever.

CT: WHO type CE2: Daughther cyst and detached membrane.

Imaging Findings:

CT shows hydatid cyst with solitary mother cyst and one small daughter cyst posteriorly. Damaged (slightly detached) endocyst membrane anteriorly and posteriorly.
