Case 57:   Focal Nodular Hyperplasia (FNH)

Clinical Presentation:

42 year old woman with upper abdominal pain.

CT: Typical, with scar, multifocal

Imaging Findings:

Multiphase CT shows two large hypervascular sites of FNH that are isodense to hepatic parenchyma in the equilibrium phase. Typical is the homogeneous enhancement on all contrast phases. Note the central scars, which are hypovascular and enhance only in the equilibrium phase.
