Case 64: Hamartoma, mesenchymal
10 month old boy with an incidentally discovered abdominal mass on a well-child check-up.
CT: Typical, cystic with septations
Large multilobulated complex cystic mass in the right aspect of the abdomen, extending across midline to the left side along mid abdomen. There are numerous internal septations, which are better appreciated on prior ultrasound. The superior portion of the mass interfaces with the mid portion of the liver less distinctly, indicating hepatic origin.
